Improved mental health is never a one time thing

Here at Priority Mind Management, we believe in helping people. We want to help people to live their best life. A life that includes good and balanced mental and emotional health. Here's the thing, some people think that improving their mental health is a one time deal. They think that they will get help from a Priority Mind Management Coach and all will be good....... forever.

However, there is another truth that everyone needs to understand. That truth is that improving your mental health is a daily commitment. As human beings, our mental health is absolutely the same as our physical health. You can't eat healthily and exercise for a couple of days and expect to be healthy forever. Life simply doesn't work like that.

Both our physical and emotional health need to be worked on consistently. We need to focus on them regularly to get them to the right place and then keep them there. The moment that we stop focussing on them, our physical and mental health can start to decline. It is said that there is a universal law around growth. It is said that anything that does not grow, dies. Whether that is true or not, I cannot say. However, I know one thing for certain....... that which is not focussed on declines!

Where focus goes energy flows

That's another old saying, and this time it is absolutely true. Where you focus is where you place your energy. Conversely, where you ignore is where energy depletes. If you do not place your focus on your mental and emotional health it will decline. The energy will deplete and your emotional state will fall away. It may fall away slowly, so slowly you don't notice at first, but fall away it will.

You will start to notice a more stressful state creeping in. Maybe your anxiousness increases. Maybe you start to feel down more and more until depression comes across you. Maybe frustration creeps in and you start to snap at anyone or anything around you. Whatever it is, it will creep up on you until, all of a sudden, your mental and emotional state is in a poor place.

The good news about mental health

There is, of course, some good news about mental and emotional health. The good news is that it only takes a short amount of time each day to improve it and keep it in check. Just like your physical health, you can improve your mental and emotional health with just a short period of time each day. Doing something towards your mental health each and every day will pay off. It's like investing a little money every day and that money compounds into something great.

Invest in your own mental health every day. Do something to improve your mental health daily and you will reap the rewards. Just 30 minutes a day can provide a shift, over time, that will benefit your life and the lives of those around you. Remember, it's consistency that is required not just a short term fix. Make a commitment to build a positive habit of working on your mental health each and every day. Here's some ideas:

- Go for a 30 minute walk

- Listen to something positive and empowering

- Learn something new and enjoyable

- Sing out loud to music you love

- Meditate

- Practice mindfulness

These are just a few ideas, I'm sure you can think of plenty of others. Think of things that move you physically and that you enjoy. Think of things that make you smile and then do those things. Repeat that 30 minutes daily and you will soon see, hear and feel the benefits.
